Garden Club News
Yesterday, Teresa and Angela of Eaton Floral visited Lakengren Garden Club members at the Club House. Base arranging with baskets and containers were covered using some of the brand new “green” shades the floral industry is discovering. Teresa suggested members and friends stop in to see her for all their home floral decorating ideas for Easter and special occasions.
The Club kicked off their spring voucher sale at the meeting and members suggest purchasing them for Easter, Mother’s Day, and birthdays. For info you may call Jean Armour 456-7884 or Rainelle Tusing 472-0250.
Red Hat Award Night
The Little Red Hen Hatters, mostly from Lakengren, are meeting at Reflections tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m. Several “Oscars” will be awarded for best overall theme, most original invitation, and, of course, someone depicting the best Red Hat Attitude. This group is rolling into its ninth year of Red Hat camaraderie and fun.
Swearing In Ceremony
Due to Rod Suman’s resignation from the LPOA Board of Trustees, a replacement has been chosen and will be sworn in during the Board Meeting to be held on March 24 at 7 p.m. at the Marina Club House.
If the warmer weather has set you in motion to begin your spring cleaning, just remember that the Lakengren Community Garage Sales will be held on May 29 through 31. Flag those special items to be sold that weekend. We guarantee it will be warm by then.
