City of Eaton Public Works Superintendent Shawn Hollon this morning issued the following Q&A regarding a recent television report which may have led viewers to believe e-Coli could be in the city’s water system:

“Question and Answers
“a. Is this in the City of Eaton? No, this is in the County – contact Commissioners.
“b. Is the City of Eaton drinking water safe? Yes, this has no effect on the City of Eaton drinking water. Eaton’s drinking water is safe.
“c. Does the City pull drinking water from surface water? No, our municipal drinking water is from ground water.
“d. Is the City of Eaton providing sanitary sewer for Glenwood? No, this is in the County.
“e. THIS IS A SEPTIC TANK ISSUE IN A COMMUNITY IN THE COUNTY – NO WATER ISSUES FOR CITIZENS WHO ARE SERVED BY THE CITY OF EATON.”
