Finance Committee meeting


The Finance Committee of the Preble County Board of Developmental Disabilties will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at 5:30 p.m., in the Board large conference room located at 200 Eaton Lewisburg Road Suite 201, Eaton, OH for the purpose of discussing a provider’s room and board contract.


Ethics Council meeting


The Ethics Council of the Preble County Board of Developmental Disabilties will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 at 9 a.m. in the Board small conference room located at 200 Eaton-Lewisburg Rd., Suite 201, Eaton, to review a potential conflict of interest as it relates to employment.


PCBDD meeting notice


The Policy Review Committee of the Preble County Board of Developmental Disabilities will meet on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m., in the Board large conference room located at 200 Eaton-Lewisburg Rd., Suite 201, Eaton, for the purpose of reviewing changes in policy.


Youth Pheasant Hunt


Twin Valley Rod & Gun Club will hold a youth pheasant hunt, Oct. 18, at Ulrich’s Hunting Preserve. The youth must be 12-17 years of age and have successfully completed a hunter education course. The hunt was made possible by funds from the ODNR, ODOW and Sportfish Wildlife Restoration Fund.


55-Plus Luncheon


St. Paul United Methodist Church will be having a Fifty-five Plus luncheon at noon on Oct. 2, at 120 N. Maple St., Eaton. The meal will be sloppy joe sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, salads and desserts. The speaker will be David Lindloff, whose topic will be drugs and crime. Guests are welcome.


PS meeting change


The Preble Shawnee Board of Education has scheduled a special meeting on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Preble Shawnee Board of Education Offices, 124 Bloomfield St., Camden. Purpose of the meeting is a BOE work session.


Parkinson’s Support Group


A new Parkinson’s Support group is being created, and meetings will be held the third Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Eaton Senior Center, 800 E. St. Clair Street. Contact Jim Straszheim, 937-456-6352 or 937-456-4947 for additional information.
