Teen killed in Perry Township crash

PERRY TOWNSHIP — The Dayton Post of the Ohio state Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash which occurred Sunday, March 31, at approximately 3:33 p.m. on Johnsonville Brookville Pike and Little Richmond Road in Perry Township, Montgomery County.

PHILLIPSBURG — Justice Tobin, 6 (right), and her sister Emma Tobin, 13, remove candy inside the plastic eggs they had gathered during the Easter Egg Hunt held Saturday in Phillipsburg. When Justice said her favorite was Reese’s Cups, Emma handed over the one from the egg she had just opened. Youngsters who attended enjoyed a coloring contest and the candy inside the 800 to 900 plastic eggs they gathered during the egg hunt.

Resurfacing project set to resume on Ohio 122

PCSO recognizes 2023 Employees of the Year

EATON — Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson recently announced the PCSO 2023 Employees of the Year which were presented at the office’s awards meeting, held in February. The pictured employees were recognized as Employee of the Year in their respective divisions for 2023. Employees are chosen based on several criteria, including professionalism, teamwork, leadership and integrity and more, according to Simpson. Recipients included (pictured left to right) Records Clerk Terri Shepherd, Support Staff; Dep. Dane Boyd, Road Patrol/Investigations; Jail Sgt. Chris Smith, Supervision; Corrections Officer Kevin Melling, Corrections; Dispatcher Brandi Smith, 9-1-1 Dispatch and Dep. Matt Spurlock, Special Deputy Division.
