Results of annual Coyote Contest announced

WEST ALEXANDRIA — The Twin Valley Rod & Gun Club recently announced the winners of it annual Coyote Contest.

The largest female coyote weighed 35.4 pounds entered by Trace Morse. Morse won $100 for largest female coyote. The prize was donated by the Twin Creek Chapter Quality Deer Management Association.

The winners with the largest male coyote by weight included: Bob Friend, first place, coyote weighing 41.7 pounds; second place, Travis Williamson, coyote weighing 40.9 pounds and third place, Chuck Reynolds, coyote weighing 40.2 pounds.

Thirty-six sportsmen entered the coyote contest, which took place Feb. 10-12. Seventeen coyotes were officially weighed on Feb. 12.

The 2017 raffle winner was Keith Holsapple.
