PREBLE COUNTY — Happy anniversary: Clyde and Crystal Dishman, Roy and Ruth Lucas.

Baseball: P.S.Y.B.L. will hold opening day on April 29, with a parade starting at 10, ceremony will continue at the ball fields following the parade with introduction of the teams and each team will then play a game. There will be food and fun for all.

Football: P.S. Pee Wee sign-ups will start with a booth at baseball’s opening day from 10-1 and at Camden Crossing B.P. patio on May 6. $80 first child, $40 additional. Jersey fee, $55 (if needed).

Trivia: Last week’s answers: Gratis Park was named after Gratis Businessman Herbert J. Coleman owner of Coleman’s Market and Hardware. Loreen Elliott was Camden Fire Chief and Manager of Camden Hardware. This week’s questions: What was the name of the tavern that is now Abundant Life West Church in Gratis? Who was longtime owner of Sohio/BP in Camden?

Help please: In order to celebrate Gratis’ bicentennial properly, much help is needed from young and old in town. There are many jobs that need done and the committee really needs your help. If you are interested in helping call 937-787-3728, Facebook Stacy Johnson, Chairman, Robin Richardson Co-Chair or Betty Shanefelt. Meetings are held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall.

Circus: Kelly Miller Circus is coming to town on Wednesday, May 17, for two shows at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Camden. The event will be held at the Waterworks Park on North Main Street. Proceeds benefit the Camden Somers Township Fire Association. Tickets available at IGA, First Financial Bank and Somerville Bank in Camden.

Library: Camden Library will hold kids sponge painting on May 5, at 4 p.m. for kids 8-12 and board and video game night for 6th-12th grades on May 5, at 5 p.m.
