EATON — Senior Day: Our yearly Senior Day and Annual Meeting is on Tuesday, May 9, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Our guest speaker is Dr. Applebaum, PhD, Director of the Ohio Long-Term Care Research Project at Miami University. Senior Day is free and includes a cook-out, vendors, raffles, prizes, games, the Silvertones, and our Annual Meeting. Thanks to our sponsors, Reid Health Alliance, Maple Gardens and Arbor Trace. The Senior Center will be closed otherwise.

Bible Study/Prayer Group: Charlie Wagner will be leading a bible study/prayer group here at the Activities Center. May’s meeting is on Tuesday May 16, at 11 a.m. They will open with prayer, read scriptures from the Bible, have open prayers, take prayer requests, open communication, and closing prayer. Charlie is excited to share in this devotion with you at the Senior Activity Center.

Ark Encounter: There is still time to sign up and join us for our Ark Encounter Trip on Tuesday May 16! Package includes your meal, admission, taxes, meal gratuities, and your motorcoach transportation. $150 members, $160 non-members. Birthday Bash: Wednesday May 17, we will be celebrating May Birthdays at 1:30 p.m. Join us in games, cupcakes, and drinks.

The Northern Connection “Lunch & Learn”: Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 301 E. Main Street in New Paris. May 10, our entertainment will be Jim Knight. The Northern Connection is a partnership between the Preble County Council on Aging and the St. Paul United Methodist Church. Lunch is served at no charge (donations are welcome) followed by either a speaker on a topic of interest, or entertainment. Information is also available on services provided by the Preble County Council on Aging. Everyone is welcome to attend. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Are you tired, worn out, and would appreciate a kind ear, friendly heart, and support for your Grand-parenting? Join us on either of these Fridays: May 19 and June 9 from 10-11 a.m., and/or May 26 & June 23, from 1-2 p.m.

Senior Prom: “An Evening Under the Stars” join us at The Grange for our annual Senior Prom. Ticket prices include food, great entertainment by Thunder Bay, good company from 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, May 20. Thanks to our sponsors, Reid Health Alliance.

Trip to Gettysburg, PA: Four days and three nights at the battlefield shrine to Union & Confederate soldiers, Plus “Jonah” at the Millennium Theatre. Trip includes three-night lodging, three breakfasts, three dinners, Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center, Cyclorama Painting, “A new Birth of Freedom” Film, Historic Gettysburg Battlefields Tour, Eisenhower Farm, “Jonah” at the Millenium Theatre, luggage handling, taxes and meal gratuities, and you will ride in style in the motorcoach.
