Adult Crafts

Make pinwheel wreaths at the West Alexandria Library on Tuesday, May 2 at 5:30 p.m.

Bad Art Night at the Eaton Library on Thursday, May 4 at 6:30 p.m. We provide the supplies, and you can see how creative you can get in 40 minutes. The only rule is the finished project must be cheesy, ridiculous, or just really bad.

Flower Pot Painting at the West Manchester and Eldorado libraries. We’ll decorate a clay flower pot for your inside or outside décor and provide a plant for your new pot! Join us at the West Manchester Library on Wednesday, May 24 or the Eldorado Library on Thursday, May 25. Craft starts at 4 p.m. each day.

Bring a white t-shirt to the West Elkton Library on Thursday, May 25 at 4:30 p.m. to make a tie-dye shirt with Sharpie pens.

Escape Room: The Mighty Pen

The Eaton Library is hosting an escape room program for adults, where you’ll have to find clues and solve a mystery on Thursday, May 11 at 6 p.m.

Here are the details: Years ago this building was a studio for many famous painters, writers, and poets. Legend has it that they would commonly leave their mark somewhere hidden in the building for others to find. Over the years everything has been sold or lost, but we recently came across this hidden chest and picture. We do not want to destroy the crate, concerned of destroying what’s inside. Instead we were hoping you could use the image to somehow open the crate.

Try to solve all the clues and “escape” in under 45 minutes; the first team to escape wins a prize!

New Paris Book Sale

The New Paris Library’s next book sale is scheduled for May 12-19. Get to the library early for the best selection of fiction, nonfiction, adult, teen, and children’s books. The book sale will be held during regular library hours, and all sales are by donation only.
