Women’s Club to Tour

Today, the Women’s Club is touring the Allen & Adaline Garber House & Nature Center, 9691 Ohio 503 north of Lewisburg. Those attending enjoyed a sack lunch at the shelter provided by the Preble County Park District, which is adjacent to this historical farmhouse. Brenda Mezz, who is a relative of the Garber Family, will share historical moments of her past with the members of the Women’s Club. Mezz will also explain many of the artifacts housed in the Garber House.

Did You Know Stu

Many from the Lakengren community know Stu Milligan who moved from our midst recently. It was reported that he had a major part in the Richmond Civic Theatre’s production of the Music Man. In his role of Charlie Cowell, the Anvil Salesman, he returned to strut upon the stage and return to his former expression in this community theatre role. Good luck Stu in whatever makes you happy.

Dates Coming

We have heard through the grapevine that an Adult Halloween Party is coming up in October, and the traditional Ugly Sweater Party date will soon be announced.

A & E Committee reports the Christmas Gift Card Raffle tickets are now available from all members of that committee.
