EATON — Christmas in July Pledge Challenge: There is still time to donate! All monetary donations received allow the PCCOA to add items to the holiday baskets, such as dairy products, meat, fresh fruit, and vegetables. During the Christmas Holidays the PCCOA gives Holiday Food Baskets to our seniors in need within Preble County. For the month of July, the first 20 people to make a monetary donation, who have never donated to the holiday baskets before, will be matched by an anonymous donor. This pledge match is only for the month of July, stretch your dollars and donate today!! You can stop by the senior center or mail your check in to: 800 East St. Clair St., Eaton, OH 45320. Please designate “Holiday Baskets” on you check.

Thursday Night Dance: Our amazing, joy filled Thursday Night weekly dance will be on Wednesday Aug. 2 from 4-7 p.m., at Rotary Junction at the Preble County Fairgrounds. Seniors get into the fair free all day on Wednesday, Aug. 2. The Thursday Night Dance will resume on Thursday’s at The Grange on Aug. 10 and thereafter.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: A great resource with friendly ears, kind hearts, and non-judgement. A support network with Q & A, and speakers to answer those bigger questions. Join us as we come together to share on Aug. 11, 10-11 a.m. and/or Aug. 25, 1-2 p.m.

Movie: We are showing the movie, ‘Frozen’ on Friday, July 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Senior Activities Center.

Legal Aid Free: ‘Plan Ahead & Protect Yourself,’ Kelli Bartlett, Senior Attorney with Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc., will be instructing free classes every Wednesday in August. The first, class is Aug. 2, the topic is: Justice for seniors. The classes are at 6 p.m. at the senior activities center.

Free Transportation: We are providing transportation from the senior activities center to the front gate of the fairgrounds on Wednesday, Aug. 2.

Fun Friday: Get your tickets for the next Fun Friday on Friday, Aug. 4 at noon. Buy tickets at the senior activities center, the event is at The Grange. Tickets are $3 for members, and $5 for non-members.

Reds Night Game: We have tickets available to see the Cincinnati Reds play the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday, Aug. 22. This is a night game. Seats are along the third base line, under a roof, in the shade and out of the rain. Tickets are $69 for members, $79 for non-members.

Rising Star Casino: The Rising Star Christmas Casino will be transformed into a dazzling winter wonderland of enchanting scenes. Featuring animated figures, hundreds of props, the 12 days of Christmas, and more. You will receive $20 in free money. Plus, $5 coupon valid at The Riverview buffet, Queen City Market, or the gift shop. Call to reserve your spot today, $48 members, $58.00 non-members. This trip is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14.
