SOUTHERN PREBLE COUNTY — Movie Night: Camden Area Family Lions Club will have a Community Movie Night featuring “Moana” on Saturday Aug. 5 at 8:30 p.m., at Camden’s Waterworks Park on N. Main St. Family friendly, free and open to the community. Popcorn and water provided, bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy. Outside food will be welcomed.

Alumni Soccer: Preble Shawnee held its annual alumni soccer contest this past Saturday that resulted in an old fashion tie. All present enjoyed the camaraderie and interaction with past and present players.

Fun day: The Camden Somers Fire Department will hold its annual back to school fun day on Sunday, Aug. 13, starting at 1 p.m. with Big Time Wrestling bell time at 2 p.m. Also, bounce houses, snow cones, hot dogs and fun.

Parade: Preble Shawnee Wee Arrows and S.A.Y Soccer will hold thier annual opening day parade and festivities starting with the parade at 10 a.m. Line-up will be at VFW on S. Main and proceeding to the school where opening day festivities will be held.
