Sr. Fun Bunch meets Thursdays from 1-4 p.m.

Ladies Night and Euchre take place every Wednesday at 7 p.m., $5 entry as well as a 50/50 raffle.

SAL Golf Tournament will tee off at 8 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10. Sign up in the Canteen.

Salem Lutheran Church

Rally Day, for children in Preschool through sixth grade, will take place Aug. 27 during Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. in the Primary classrooms and outside for the annual Balloon Launch.

The Women’s council is accepting donations for local disaster relief supplies including blankets, school supplies, health kits, clothing, Bibles and gift cards from major grocery and Home Improvement stores. We are collecting bar soap for Lutheran World Relief and also new stuffed animals or monetary donations for the Stuffed Animal Therapy Ministry, helping children of our county in times of crisis. The Women of the Church are also collecting dimes in water bottles for missions.

We accept unwanted or recently expired coupons for Coups for Troops where coupons up to two months expired are accepted overseas in military commissaries.

We need volunteers for Days for Girls on Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 29-30. If you can trace, cut, iron or sew, your talents will be a true blessing for this worthy cause. For further information contact Brenda Wright.

Middle School Ministry meets Sunday evenings at 7 p.m.

Adult Bible study meets Thursdays at 7 p.m., studying the book of Revelation.

Special Offering for August will go to Haiti Missions.

St. John Church

We are collecting for WACOCA local needs and Twin Valley South Elementary needy students.

We are collecting empty pill bottles with labels removed for the Matthew 25 Project.

We are collecting used shoes for Well of Hope and new or used Christian devotionals for our prison ministry.

Youth meet Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.

We will provide a meal to the Homeless Shelter on Aug. 31.

Church of the Brethren

The next Free Community Meal will be Wednesday, Sept. 6 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren, 22 E. Oak Street.

St. John Lutheran, Ingomar

Join us for our annual Ice Cream Social on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The Women of the church will be serving their delicious homemade chicken and noodles, hot sandwiches, salads, and desserts including several flavors of homemade ice cream! There will also be a bazaar table with handmade items to purchase. All proceeds from the the social will be donated to the Preble County Success Program and Preble County Veteran’s Services. The church is handicap accessible and air-conditioned, located at 2139 Enterprise Rd.
