Dunking for a good cause

EATON — The Program of Activities Finance Committee of the Eaton MVCTC FFA Chapter will be hosting a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital before the football game on Friday, Oct. 2.

Committee members Kate Bulach, Shayla Campbell, Bradley Curry, and Austin Day came up with the idea and are executing the plan of action to make this a successful event.

The group wants to donate all the money from the dunk tank to Children’s Hospital, since they all had connections to it.

“Everyone we talked to has been treated at Children’s or knows someone who was a patient there,” said Kate Bulach. “This can be an extremely stressful time for the families, as well as costly, and we wanted to find a way to ease their worries,” added Campbell.

Several high school and middle school teachers have graciously accepted the invitation to sit on the dunk tank. The dunking festivities will be held in the common area by the concession stand and begin when the gates open at 5:30 p.m. and will continue until right before kick-off.
