RICHMOND, INDIANA — The Richmond Community Orchestra (RCO), under the direction of Jay Conard of Eaton, will be presenting its 2015 Fall concert on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 3:30 p.m. in the Goddard Auditorium of Carpenter Hall on the campus of Earlham College, Richmond, Indiana. The concert is free to the public. Compositions to be played include a Halloween type number entitled “Danse Macabre” by Saint-Saens. Kids, especially, are encouraged come dressed in costume. Another amusing number is “The Carnival of the Animals” that particularly features dual pianists as they, accompanied by the orchestra, will musically exemplify various animals – lions, and elephants, and tortoises. Other numbers include “Entry of the Gladiators” by Julius Fucik along with “Berceuse and Finale” by Igor Stravinsky.

In addition, RCO wants everyone to leave the concert “Happy” which is the title of the final number, a jazzy Pharrell Williams’ composition arranged for the orchestra by Conard.
