"People don't get lucky. You have to work hard at it," said Mike Snell, Silfex Division General Manager.
Nearly 100 community and regional leaders gathered at Silfex in Eaton on Friday, April 9, to hear about economic development and the advantages it has on improving the way of life in Preble County and the surrounding region.
Snell said it's important to develop the current and future work force.
"Without that, current businesses can't thrive and new businesses won't come," Snell said.
He noted, all business models which are successful involve all stake holders in each community.
Jim Leftwich, President and CEO of the Dayton Development Coalition, updated those in attendance on what the 13-county region it represents has to offer, by discussing their path to success through engagement of stakeholders and economic development.
"There's something about a small community and a small town," Leftwich said.
