National Trail BOE meeting

The National Trail Board of Education will meet Monday, Jan. 9, at 5:30 p.m., at the NT District Office Conference Room, located at 6940 Oxford-Gettysburg Road, New Paris, for the purpose of organization and any other business which may be considered necessary. The January regular board meeting will be held immediately following the organizational meeting.

Holiday concert

Eaton Area Community Band will be hosting its holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 18, at 4 p.m. in the Eaton Performing Arts Center on Hillcrest Drive. The Community Band, in its 14th year, is made up of 40 musicians from Eaton and surrounding communities, and is directed by Tad Stewart, former director of bands with the Eaton Community Schools. In addition to several medleys of traditional and contemporary Christmas favorites, the concert will include two selections from Handel’s “Messiah” arranged for concert band, a flute solo, and a special “just for fun” selection which features a combination of ragtime, cabaret-style music, and Yiddish Klezmer music. Admission is free and the public is welcome.

GM/Delphi retirees

All General Motors/Delphi retirees are welcome to attend a monthly retirees breakfast at 8 a.m., at the Dixie Diner, 595 W. Main St., New Lebanon, the second Wednesday of each month.
