EATON — The Preble County Senior Center will be closed for the New Year, Friday Dec. 30-Jan. 2.
Matthew 25 Ministries: We are collecting pill bottles (empty, all sizes, prescription or over-the-counter). All bottles will be donated to Matthew 25 Ministries to help improve the quality of health care in hospitals and clinics in developing countries by saving and donating basic medical supplies such as pill bottles. Stop by to drop off your pill bottles, 800 East St. Clair St.
Therapist on call: Vancrest physical therapist will be at the Senior Center on Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 10 a.m. to answer any questions you may have and share simple exercises to improve movement.
Bowling: First Thursday of the month, Jan. 5, we go bowling in Richmond. We can pick you up if you want to go, and we will leave the senior center at 11 a.m. There is a small fee for this activity.
Fun Friday: It’s about that time again! Friday, Jan. 6 is Fun Friday, at noon at The Grange. Live music and lunch is provided. Purchase your tickets ahead of time at the senior center. $3 Members, $5 Non Members.
Chair Exercises: We are offering chair exercises this January and February every Friday at 2 p.m. at the senior center. This begins Friday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m.
Book Club: The Book Club meets the second Thursday of each month at 10:00 am. Beginning Jan. 12, they will be reading “Life on the Mississippi” by Mark Twain.

Energy Assistance Programs: HEAP — Provides a one-time benefit to your main heating source account. The HEAP program ends June 30, 2017.
WCP: Provides a benefit once per heating season to your main and/or electric accounts. The benefit can be used by eligible households that are disconnected, need to establish new service or pay to transfer service, or have 25 percent (or less) bulk fuel. The program can also assist with fuel tank placement, fuel tank testing and furnace repair. The 2016 WCP program began Nov. 1, and ends March 31, 2017.
PIPP Plus: An extended payment arrangement that requires regulated gas and electric companies to accept payments based on a percentage of the household income. Complete the application to apply for PIPP Plus or visit your local delegate agency.
HWAP: A residential energy efficiency program that reduces the energy use of qualified households.
