EATON — BOGO Soup: January is national soup month join us in ‘Warming the Soul, Warming the Heart.” Come into Decade’s Diner during the month of January and, buy a bowl of soup and get a bowl of soup for free!! Puzzles: What a great winter project, we have plenty of puzzles to choose from. On Friday Jan. 13, at 10 a.m. at the senior center you too can put a puzzle together.
Chair Exercises: We are offering chair exercises this January and February every Friday at 2 p.m. at the activities center.
Joy Tour & Travel: A representative from Joy Tour & Travel will be at the activities center on Tuesday Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. to discuss upcoming trips. Birthday Bash: Wednesday, Jan. 18, we will be celebrating January Birthdays. Join us in games, cupcakes and drinks.
Monthly Art Labs: Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 25, we are offering monthly art labs at the activities center. In partnership with the Preble County Visual Art Center, they will provide materials and professional instruction for the given art project. There is a fee for these labs, and we prefer reservations. Our first lab is Wednesday Jan. 25, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.we will be painting bowls in honor of National Soup Month. Bowl prices vary from $10-16 per person. Call to reserve your spot 937-456-4947
Matthew 25 Ministries: We are collecting Pill Bottles (empty, all sizes, prescription or over-the-counter). All bottles will be donated to Matthew 25 Ministries to help improve the quality of health care in hospitals and clinics in developing countries by saving and donating basic medical supplies such as pill bottles. Energy Assistance Programs: HEAP: Provides a one-time benefit to your main heating source account. The HEAP program ends June 30.
WCP: Provides a benefit once per heating season to your main and/or electric accounts. The benefit can be used by eligible households that are disconnected, need to establish new service or pay to transfer service, or have 25 percent (or less) bulk fuel. The program can also assist with fuel tank placement, fuel tank testing and furnace repair. The 2016 WCP program ends March 31.
PIPP Plus: An extended payment arrangement that requires regulated gas and electric companies to accept payments based on a percentage of the household income. Complete the application to apply for PIPP Plus or visit your local delegate agency.
HWAP: A residential energy efficiency program that reduces the energy use of qualified households.
