HUESTON WOODS — Celebrate 51 years of Ohio maple syrup at this year’s 51st annual Maple Syrup Festival at Hueston Woods State Park. The festival will take place on two separate weekends; March 4 and 5, as well as March 11 and 12.

Begin your day with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast in the Trailblazer Dining Room inside Hueston Woods Lodge from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under. Of course, the breakfast will feature local maple syrup.

From noon until 4 p.m., enjoy a maple syrup tour around the park. Begin with a hayride at the Pioneer Farm on Brown Road, followed by a hike through the “Big Woods.” During the tour, participants will learn about the art of maple syrup production and history of the area. From 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., visit the Nature Center to tour the exhibits featuring reptiles and birds of prey.

Food, beverages, and maple syrup will be on sale throughout the day.
