PREBLE COUNTY — Residents in Preble County have an opportunity to receive extra monetary help to repair or replace failing septic systems.

Preble County Public Health recently was awarded money from the Ohio Water Pollution Control Loan Fund through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency for the repair or replacement of household sewage treatment systems in unsewered areas of Preble County.

Eligibility for this funding will be determined by the homeowner’s income and the number of persons in the household. Homeowners may qualify within one of three funding tiers based on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 2015 Poverty Guidelines. Interested homeowners may contact Preble County Public Health at 937-472-0087 to see if they meet income eligibility and to pick up an application.
