Darrtown Fall Festival next weekend

DARRTOWN — The annual Darrtown Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 9 through Sunday, Sept. 10. The festival will feature: a parade, a German beer garden, women’s skillet toss, vendors, classic cars, a talent show, live music, activities for kids, a golf cart obstacle course, a con hole tournament, antique tractors, a men’s tractor tire flip, and a “tombstone trail” one and a half mile walk.

The festivities will kick off on with the Tombstone Trail at 9 a.m., followed by the parade at 10 a.m. The parade has a competition division as $50 is awarded to the parade unit that receives the most votes as the People’s Choice.

To qualify:

•You must decorate yourself and/or your mode of transportation.

•Register at the Alston monument in the village square between 9:15 and 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9 to receive a number to be displayed on yourself or your vehicle.

•Participate in the parade and earn the most votes.

From the conclusion of the parade until 2 p.m. Saturday, parade spectators may secure ballots and cast votes for their parade favorite in the E-Dot Park “Welcome Center” tent.

Also on Saturday, will be kid activities, the cornhole tournament, and skillet toss.

Late Saturday afternoon Ryan Broshear will be performing at E-Dot Park. Kyle Lemaster and the Honky-Tonk Heroes and The Regular Bills will also be performing on Saturday.

The Antique Tractor Show will be held Saturday through Sunday, with trophies awarded.

On Sunday there will be a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m. in the big tent.
