NEW PARIS — On Friday, Aug. 25, the National Trail MVCTC FFA Chapter held its annual Greenhand lock-in. The Greenhand lock-in is for all first year FFA members enrolled in the program.

This year three Ohio FFA State officers attended the lock-in including Emma Sterwerf, Koleson McCoy, and Carley Cooper.

At the lock-in, the first year members met the National Trail MVCTC FFA Chapter officers which consists of Erika Gallaher, Macel Stowers, Sydney Miller, Dawson Ward, Rachael Kimball, Nathan Henning, and Hunter Miller.

The lock-in began with leadership activities hosted by the Ohio FFA officers. The greenhand members learned the importance of their SAE projects and how the FFA impacts the community. In between the learning sessions, they played games to help with their leadership and communication with others.

In the remainder of the night the National Trail MVCTC Chapter Officers led their activities; teaching cooperation and teamwork, and held a dance off against other chapter members.
