EATON — Preble County Commissioners approved resurveying of property on Camden Road during a meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 13. According to Commission Clerk Connie Crowell, years ago this land was surveyed, but no action was taken and thus Crowell filed the survey away.

“I thought that since we weren’t doing anything I would just file it for future reference,” she said. “This came to light with redoing all my farm ground agreements. Anyways, they had to prepare a deed, because the change in the acres. It went from 60 acres to 66.542, but that also includes the wooded area — our tillable didn’t change.

“My error was to put it back in the filing cabinet. I’ve had a new deed prepared and we’ll have that updated.”

The commissioners noted receipt and approved the following agreements and contracts:

•An memorandum of understanding regarding the funding of the Preble County Success Program agreement with Butler County Educational Service Center for $50,000.

•An amendment to child placement agreements with Mary Haven Youth Center and Warren County Detention Center. There will be an increased amount of $35,000 to Adolescent Oasis, Inc. and an increased amount of $75,000 to Children Services.

•An agreement with Milcon Concrete, Inc. for the Lexington Salem Road reconstruction project.

In other business:

•Commissioners approved the transfer of funds to various departments.

•Commissioners approved a legal ad, bid specs, and bid form for the lease of Preble County farm ground.

The Preble County Commissioners meet every Monday and Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Preble County Courthouse.
