PREBLE COUNTY — Beginning January 2018, most Preble County residents and business owners will find their property values have increased.

Not all property is increasing but most are, according to Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright. Property owners which have property in the Current Agricultural Use Value (CAUV) program will see a decrease in their taxable land values.

Values from the state mandated 2017 Reappraisal for Preble County are now available for review on the auditor’s website at http://preblecountyauditor.org.

Wright or her staff can assist in reviewing property values during regular business hours Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Residents can also inquire online at http://preblecounty.propertyrevaluations.com between now and Oct. 14. At this website, county residents can find frequently asked questions, along with an inquiry form which can be submitted to have questions and concerns addressed.

The auditor will also hold five public meetings outside the normal business day to help ensure everyone is given the chance to review or question their new value.

The five public meetings will be held at the following locations and times; Wednesday, Sept. 27, 16 N. Main Street, West Alexandria (Town Hall) 6-8 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 2, 135 N. Washington Street, New Paris (Northwest Fire Station) 6-8 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 4, 4195 Paint Creek Road, Eaton (Gasper Township Fire Station) 6-8 p.m.; Monday, Oct. 9, 56 W. Central Avenue, Camden (Town Hall) 6-8 p.m.; Wednesday, Oct. 11, 261 Clay Street, Lewisburg, (Community Center) 6-8 p.m.
