BROOKVILLE, INDIANA — On Saturday, Dec. 9, the public is invited to join Audubon Miami Valley for a field trip to the Brookville Lake Reservoir area between Liberty and Brookville, Indiana.

Dr. David Russell will again lead this trip, which will visit a number of good birding spots around Brookville Lake as well as Whitewater State Park. The group will be looking for migrating ducks, geese, gulls, terns, sandhill cranes and other species. A map of the area can be found online.

The trip will leave at 7:30 a.m. from the west end of the Oxford Walmart parking lot (on U.S. 27, north of Oxford). Each month between September and June, Audubon Miami Valley sponsors a field trip to a regional site of special interest. All are welcome on AMV field trips. More information is available at www.amvohio.org.

In November, the Audubon Miami Valley group enjoyed a remarkable visit to the Marianist Environmental Education Center in Dayton.
