EATON — On Tuesday, Jan. 23, the staff at Eaton Community Schools’ Hollingsworth East Elementary hosted a movie-themed Math Fun Night.
Once the students and their families entered the door, they were handed a worksheet to take to different classrooms all over the school and compete in math-related challenges, puzzles, and games. These challenges were all movie related. This year the movie themes were “Trolls,” “Frozen,” and “Cars.”
When families completed each station, their movie ticket was punched. When all four were punched, the families headed to the cafeteria to claim their prize and have a snack.
Five Eaton High School Varsity Winterguard students were asked to assist with games and snacks. These students were happy to except the challenge. Those students included Captain Tatum Durbin, Emily Turner, Katelyn White, Olivia Wheeler, and Isabella Gaydosh-Bruce.
There were nearly 200 students who participated during the evening and the staff thanks everyone who attended. There will be another event with a reading theme on Tuesday, March 27.
