EATON — There will be a Downtown Eaton Block Party held on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 5-9 p.m.

The celebration will feature live music from Blue Lou & the Mafia, sales and specials at numerous vendors, activities from the Preble County Art Association, bounce houses for the children, door prizes and more.

The following businesses will feature sales and specials: Boutique on Main, Your Flower Shop, Duchess & Greyhound, Jells, Just Teasin Hair Salon, First Impression Wear, 1808 Cafe, the 2:30 Club, and Eaton Jewelers.

Additional vendors will include: My Arrow Princess, Thirty-One by Amy Pemberton, Main Street Treats, and Mam’s Kettle Corn.

The Preble County Art Association will be providing demonstrations, art activities, and free children’s activities. For $3, youngsters can have unlimited bouncing in Bounce Houses presented by Prestige Entertainment.

Check in at the registration booth in front of 1808 Cafe to enter to win door prizes.

The event is meant to draw business and attention to Downtown Eaton.

“It is going to be fun and we’re going to have a great time,” event organizers said in a press release. “We’re going to have unique businesses who offer things that maybe you can’t get in a big city. With the small business, you get quality service. It is more of an experience than just a product. You’re getting everything, a good quality product and good customer service.”
