PREBLE COUNTY — The Preble County Mental Health & Recovery Board is offering a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training.

The CIT training is for people who work with individuals with substance use disorders, and/or mental health disorders, and the DD population.

This training, taught by professionals from various fields and first responders, will cover communication techniques, de-escalation skills and trauma informed care. We will learn the history and better understand how to relate to this population. Also covered will be legal aspects, law enforcement, a practical case study, and trends and hot topics. The training will be held at the Eaton City Fire Department, 391 W. Lexington Road, Eaton, on Fridays: Feb. 1, 8, and 15, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
