Helping you navigate your life changes

EATON — In celebration of May as Older Americans Month (OAM) and its theme to “Connect, Create, & Contribute,” which encourages older adults and their communities to come together. I want to focus this article on connecting with local services and resources.

Let’s talk about our Service Navigation resource which provides in-depth, on-going information, referral, and case management options. This service connects seniors and their families with needed services, resources, and/or programs. Let’s dive a little deeper into this.

Remember when we could call 411 and get information and answers to our questions? Or now days we ask Google or Siri for information. That is what our Service Navigators provide, information, direction and answers to your questions. Heather and Brittney, our Service Navigators are here and available for Preble County seniors and their families by helping with applications, assisting in changes to long term care plans, doing wellness checks, answering insurance and Medicare questions, providing notary services, helping with emergency funding for home repair, and so much more. Brittney and Heather are your 411 call and Google inquiry for seniors in Preble County.

Preble County Council on Aging is celebrating OAM by promoting ways that community members of all ages can take part in helping Preble County seniors thrive. Consider reaching out and connecting with Brittney and Heather to help you or your loved one who is 60 years of age or older. You can reach our Service Navigators by calling 937-456-4947 or emailing at Heather at [email protected] or Brittney at [email protected].
