LEWISBURG — The Preble County Park District (PCPD) has a busy month of June planned. The public is invited to mark their calendars for the following programs at the Garber Nature Center, located at 9691 Ohio 503 North, Lewisburg.

All programs are free with donations welcomed, and are held in the Pavilion at the main entrance.

•Creative Collections: June 8, 1-3 p.m.

What kind of things do you collect to use again? Can you make a car using cardboard and a balloon? Making art from recycled items will be our special class today. Beth Wright, from Preble County Recycling, will share facts on recycling and reusing materials. “Zero” trash and keeping our earth clean is our challenge. Using your own creativity, come out and show us what you can do with everyday materials in “Creative Collections”.

•In Honor of Mud: June 13, 1-3 p.m.

For all of our mud-pie friends, this class is for you! What makes mud? Mix up some happy mud with us, paint logs and trees, fashion a mud-pie to take home, make hand and foot prints, and more. You can even decorate your own face! Learn fun and healthful facts about mud! I double mud dare you to come!

•Streaming in the Sunshine: June 15, 7-9 p.m.

Have you ever seen fingers strum, pick, and tap in such an extraordinary way as Eric Loy’s when he plays his guitars? Join us as this incredibly talented musician performs his own music in his own unique style! His harp guitar will amaze you. Earl Pittman will share a few vocals to open our evening of great music. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy!

•Wild Hearts African Farm: June 22, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
