PC auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright released her monthly financial report on Wednesday, June 5.

According to Wright, during the month of May, the county’s general fund receipts totaled $697,554.05.

Sales tax revenue for May totaled $451,192.28 from March sales, Wright reported. Local Taxation totaled $43,291.20, charges for services were at $79,078.28, interest was at $42,564.93, and fines and forfeitures were at $2,954.73. The next Casino Tax will be in July.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $14,386.40 and there were no expenditures for the month.

Expenditures

May general fund disbursements totaled $725,507.83, according to Wright.

Transfers for the month included $2,079.48 to Ag Capital Improvement, $56.98 to Engineer, $2,400 for the Grant Ag Soc Payment check #515739001-031-109112.

Total Expenditures were $1,267,033.68 and included supplies ($34,330.98); contract services ($258,492.44); health insurance ($101,088.59); utilities ($10,533.19); equipment ($112,092); gasoline ($580.52), training/travel, adv/printing, and other expenses ($19,871.67).

According to Wright, the general fund began 2019 with a balance of $5,222,821.98, and ended the month of May with $5,869,678.42.

Expenditures for the month were more than what they were in 2018 by $148,951.06: supplies were up by $5,541.09, contracted services down by $47,586.56, other expenses were down by $2,818.06, transfers were down by $12,686.16, and equipment was down by $68,761.36.
