An afternoon with author Jon Falk

OXFORD — The Oxford Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) Chapter CB will be hosting author and Oxford native, Jon Falk, as he discusses his book ‘Forty Years in the Big House – Michigan Tales from My Four Years as a Wolverine’ on April 10 at Talawanda High School Auditorium.

The program, to begin at 2 p.m., will include a question and answer period following his presentation and a book signing.

Falk, a Talawanda graduate and member of the High School Hall of Fame, graduated from Miami University in 1971. He was assistant Miami athletic equipment manager before moving on to the University of Michigan Football program in 1974. He has worked for over 40 years at Michigan, where he is now serving as Director of Equipment Operations.

During his tenure at Michigan, he has worked with Bo Schembechler, Gary Moeller, Lloyd Carr, Rich Rodriguez, Brady Hoke and the current coach, John Harbaugh. One of the most respected equipment managers in the country, Falk was named the National Equipment Managers Association 2001 recipient of the Glen Sharp National Equipment Manager of the Year Award, as well as their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.

All proceeds from this event help support six philanthropies of PEO: Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri and five projects that provide higher education assistance for women.
