Two to perform in ‘Nutcracker’

WEST ALEXANDRIA — Two Twin Valley South sixth grade students, Elliana Hurst and Allie DeLong, have been chosen for the second year in a row to dance in The Nutcracker with the Dayton Ballet. The Nutcracker will be presented at the Schuster Center, Dec. 16-23.

Hurst has been taking dance at Roberta Lynn’s school of Dance in New Lebanon for 10 years. She is also part of Roberta Lynn’s competition team and is a ballet solo competitor at dance competitions. Her other interests include TVS Varsity Peewee Cheerleading, playing the flute, and 4-H with the 4-H Syndicate. She is the daughter of Lucian and Sherry Hurst of West Alexandria, and sister to Carson Hurst. Her grandparents are Jim and Pat Frizzell and Phil and Claudia Hurst.

DeLong started at Margaret Leiber school of dance in Brookville when she was three years old and has been dancing there for a total of 10 years. In 2012 she also joined Danielle’s Dance Academy in Eaton and currently dances at both studios. She is also a TVS Varsity Peewee Cheerleader. Allie is the daughter of Jason and Jennifer DeLong of West Alexandria and sister to Ryan and Logan DeLong. Grandparents are Don Winget, Jackie Winget and Charlotte DeLong.
