PC Auditor issues report

EATON — Preble County Auditor Lavon Wright recently releaed her monthly financial report for the period ending Sept. 30.

During the month of September, General Fund receipts totaled $1,005,999.63, 15.66 percent above the estimate for the month, according to Wright.

General fund receipts in September 2016 exceeded 2015 by 14.86 percent. Expenditures were less than September 2015, by 7.89 percent.

Sales tax revenue for September totaled $632,649.85 from July sales, according to Wright. Local Government Funds were at $35,978.71, charges for services were $65,513.94, interest was $19,035.10, fines and forfietures were $2,982.66 and other funds received were $249,839.37.

The 1-mill conveyance receipts totaled $9,888.50 with no expenditures in September, according to Wright.

Expenditures

According to the report, September disbursements totaled $722,189.40, 10.84 percent below the estimate for the month. Salaries, Public Employee Retirement System and Medicare disbursements in September totaled $418,900.68. Health insurance premiums were billed and paid in the amount of $78,207.08.

A transfer of $17,222.62 was made to t he Ohio Agriculture Society. Department expenditures were $207,859.02 and include supplies ($25,605.92,) equipment ($5,294.01,) charges for services ($164,380.04,) gasoline ($4,177.02,) travel, advertising/printing and other expenses.

According to Wright, the county’s general fund began 2016 with a cash balance of $3,800,775.40 and ended the month of September with $5,059,451.29.
