American Legion

Veterans Day free ham w/beans and cornbread, and bake sale will be Friday, Nov. 11, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Giving Thanks Dinner carry-in will be Monday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m. with meat provided. Sign up in the canteen or call Linda Wick for more details at 336-4655.

The next SAL All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast will be Sunday, Dec. 4, from 8-11 a.m.

The Senior Fun Bunch meets every Thursday from 1-4 p.m. for music and dancing.

Euchre is played every Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. with a 50/50 raffle at James E. Ryan, Post 322, 1477 Ohio 503 South.

TVS Veterans Day Program

Everyone is invited to attend the Twin Valley South Veterans Day Program. Come appreciate our veterans Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the high school gymnasium at 100 Education Drive.

Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club

The Venison for Food Banks of Preble County program is on-going. Anyone who takes a deer can donate all or part of the meat for the Foodbanks. We have sponsors who will take care of the processing fees. You may contact Brad Turner, Preble County Game Warden, or Curtis Early at 937-533-3226.

Annual Turkey Supper

West Alexandria Church of the Brethren is having its annual turkey supper Saturday, Nov. 12, from 4:30-7 p.m. at 22 East Oak Street. Costs are: Adults $8, Children $3.50, children under 3 years old are free. Carryout is available.Tickets may be purchased at the door. Salem Lutheran

The Salem Men’s breakfast and Bible study meets at 7:30 a.m. the third Saturday of each month. The next meeting is Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Fellowship Hall.

Salem’s Haiti Mission Trip team will leave in February to travel to Haiti and help construct a house there. We will need funds to purchase materials. The cost for each person to travel is $1,350 which does not include materials for the building. You can be a part of this by contributing donations. Checks should be made out to Salem Lutheran Church with “Haiti” written in the memo portion of your check.

LYO will host a youth bingo and Bible study Saturday, Nov. 19, in the Fellowship Hall, from 7-9 p.m. Dinner will be provided; bring your friends!

Coups for Troops collects unwanted grocery coupons, up to two months expired, for troops overseas to use in the Commissaries. There is a basket located in the church library.
