OXFORD — The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC) will be filled with the joyful sounds of songs of the season at the 9th Annual Oxford Musicians Holiday Concert on Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10.

This event, which begins at 7 p.m., unites local musicians who donate their time to support the OCAC’s music programs throughout the year by ringing in the season with performances of your favorite holiday tunes. A cash bar will open at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 at the door for adults and $5 for children. Children under 6 are free.

This year’s holiday concert, hosted by John Kogge and Laurie Traveline-Neyer, features the TrebleMakers, John Windland, Sarah Pate & Ron Hautau, abassoon quartet, a wind quartet, John Bercaw, Allan Winkler, Alex Poteet, Malory Owen & Nick Witzeman, Garcia & Scott and many more.

The TrebleMakers are an all-female a cappella group at Miami University featuring 18 vocalists who perform throughout the year on campus and in the community. John Windland, who makes his own instruments at a studio in the OCAC, will be telling stories at the event.

A retired Miami professor, Allan Winkler has performed folk music in the area for years and will be bringing his talents to the holiday concert stage. Alex Poteet, an Oxford native, blends pop and soulful roots sounds in his music. Attendees can expect to enjoy all of these acts as well as many more during this Songs of the Season concert event.

The Oxford Community Arts Center is located at 10 South College Avenue, in Oxford. For additional information contact the Art Center at [email protected] or 513-524-8506, or visit the website www.oxarts.org.
