Eaton FFA reports on banquet

EATON — The Eaton FFA Chapter held their annual banquet on March. There were almost 180 people in attendance at this event. The theme for this year was “Stars Tonight” and the chapter recognized the many stars in the Eaton FFA during the banquet.

The stars recognized include: all of the Career Development Event participants; State and National FFA Convention attendees; all three of the gold rated officer books; FFA Basketball participants; Greenhand, Chapter, State, and American Degree winners; and Honorary Chapter Degree winners Curt and Celeste Caplinger. Also recognized at the banquet were Proficiency participants Aaron Hendrich for Agriculture Mechanics, Katelyn Niehaus for Agriculture Education, Trent Broermann for Beef, Shayla Campbell for Specialty Animal, Houston Durham for Diversified Agriculture, Drew Kahle for Equine Placement, Cierra Lawson for Equine Entrepreneurship, Zach Henry and Cierra Lawson for Food Service, Aaron Hendrich for Fruit and Vegetable Production, Trent Broermann for Forage, Peyton Caplinger for Goat, Tarah Tadlock for Job Placement, Mariah Brewer for Poultry Production, Karia Snowden for Sheep, Crystal Dotson for Small Animal Production, Alyssa Orr for Swine, Aubrey Stevenson for Diversified Livestock, Blake Whitesell and Cole Whitesell for Diversified Crop Production, and Braden Schmidt for Lawn and Landscaping.

Others recognized included members who sold the most fruit, which was Aaron Hendrich, Peyton Caplinger, and Katelyn Niehaus, respectively; Spirit of the FFA award winner Daphne Durham; Star Greenhand winners Arica Hamilton and Alysa Sorrell; Star Agribusiness winner Alyssa Orr; Star Job Placement winner Wyatt Hanson; Star Farmer winners Aubrey Stevenson and Peyton Caplinger; Dekalb award winner Aaron Hendrich; members who have been in FFA for four years who were Peyton Caplinger, Aaron Hendrich, Alyssa Orr, Aubrey Stevenson, Wyatt Hanson, and Ronnie Lindsey; the FFA Seniors; and the past and present officers.

The chapter congratulates all of the people recognized at the banquet and the many stars who make agriculture and the FFA possible.
