TimkenSteel to reinvest in Eaton area, Preble County, with new operations at St. Clair Facility

EATON — TimkenSteel a provider of customized alloy steel products and services, recently announced it will increase capacity and employment at its St. Clair plant to accommodate new operations that were formerly outsourced.

“We’re proud to be reinvesting in TimkenSteel’s St. Clair facility and, in turn, contributing to the City of Eaton and Preble County economy,” said Jeremy Linder, plant manager at TimkenSteel’s St. Clair plant. “TimkenSteel products have been made in America for 100 years and our St. Clair plant has been part of the community for more than two decades. Our team members are proud of the work we do to support the automotive industry, and we thank Mayor Kirsch, City Manager Collins and the Preble County Economic Development Partnership for their support of this community reinvestment initiative.”

TimkenSteel’s St. Clair facility provides precision steel components to automotive and industrial customers. The operation currently employs nearly 85 employees and will add another dozen team members as a result of the re-investment. The new operations are expected to start up in the third quarter of this year.
