EATON — The Preble County Safety Council honored its members during its 11th annual awards luncheon, held on Wednesday, April 19.
Nearly 50 people attended.
Guest speaker at this year’s luncheon was Scott Warrick, of Consulting, Coaching & Training Services. Warrick spoke on “Emotional Intelligence and Workplace Violence, Bullying & Safety.” Warrick’s topics included “What is workplace violence?” “Bullying versus harassment,” “Fight or Flight,” and “Emotional intelligence — Can you control your ego and emotions?”
Bureau of Workers Compensation representatives Susan Shamis and Joe Koehl were in attendance to help distribute awards to those members in attendance.
2016 Special Awards were presented to National Trail Local School District, Preble Shawnee Local Schools, Silfex Corporation, Vancrest Health Care Center, TimkenSteel-St. Clair Plant, and Twin Valley Community Local Schools.
2016 100 percent awards were presented to Bullen Ultrasonics Inc., Complete Therapy Care Inc., MSD Environmental Services Inc., Lakengren Water Authority, Lowman Metal Shop Inc. Northwest Fire & Ambulance District, Rexarc International Inc., Foster’s Home Improvement LLC, Tri-County North Local Schools, Twin Valley Community Local Schools, Preble County Council on Aging Inc. and Weber’s Body and Frame.
2016 Achievement Awards were given to Brubaker Grain & Chemical, Eaton Community School District and Harvest Land Co-op.
2016 Multi-Award winners included Birchwood Genetics Inc. (Group, 100 percent); L & M Products (Group, 100 percent); Preble Shawnee Local Schools (Group, 100 percent, Achievement); Silfex Corporation (Group, 100 percent, Achievement); The Greenbriar Nursing Center (100 percent, Achievement); Vancrest Health Care Center (Group, 100 percent); Village of Lewisburg (Group, 100 percent) and the Village of West Alexandria (100 percent, Achievement).
Held at the Preble County Educational Service Center, the event was catered by Charlotte’s Banquet & Catering.
