The Mission Quartet from northern Kentucky will be the headline act at this year’s Downtown Gratis Days and will feature the sounds of the Statler Brothers, a quartet known for such songs as “Counting Flowers on the Wall” and “You are My Sunshine” and more. They will perform on Friday, May 30, at 7 p.m. for a free show.
Also performing this year on Thursday, May 29, will be local acoustic musician Cody Steward, who will entertain with favorites from country to rock, including artists such as the The Fray, The Script, and Thomas Rhett, at 7 p.m.
To round off the entertainment, there will be Tuff Pro Wrestling on Saturday night, May 31. A local group of Big Time Wrestling Stars will enter the ring at 7 p.m. to entertain the crowd.
On the midway will be “Happy H Amusements” from Cincinnati, who will bring rides to Gratis not seen in years, along with games, traditional foods like cotton candy, caramel apples and waffles. Local organizations will have booths as well.
All proceeds will benefit the Gratis Bicentennial in 2017.
