Zebulun Pontius

OXFORD — Zebulun Pontius is one of eight students to receive the 2015 Bob and Barbara Williams Leadership Scholarship through The Paper Science and Engineering Foundation at Miami University.

Pontius, from West Alexandria, is earning a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

This prestigious award is presented to students in the paper science and engineering curriculum in recognition of their leadership, creativity, and academic achievements. Recipients were selected by a committee of engineering faculty and Paper Science and Engineering Foundation staff. Winners received a full tuition scholarship thanks to the generosity of The Bob and Barbara Williams Foundation.

This is Pontius’s first Williams Leadership Scholarship.

Courtney Clippinger

WILMINGTON – Wilmington College sophomore Courtney L. Clippinger of Fiord Drive, Eaton, is serving as treasurer of the Wilmington College Alpha Phi Kappa Sorority.

Clippinger, who is majoring in exercise science, is a 2015 graduate of Eaton High School.

The Alpha Phi Kappa Sorority was founded in 1921 and is the second oldest local sorority on campus. It’s composed of a group of girls from all different backgrounds, studying various majors. The purpose of the sorority is to promote its members in the areas of friendship, leadership and service. They are very active in events on campus, some of which include community service events such as Relay for Life and Cardboard Village.
