TVS FFA compete in food science CDE

WEST ALEXANDRIA — On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Twin Valley South Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) FFA chapter competed in the District 5 Food Science CDE at Covington High School.

Members were required to complete multiple practicums including identifying aromas, food sensory, food handling and safety, food science equipment, math, and a team project where they created a new food product.

The team of Lynnlee Voge, Sydney Flory, Kallen Pitz, and Harley Cook placed eigth in the district out of 42 teams. Other members who participated include Jake Beneke, Ben Bitner, Abby Earich, Elli Hurst, Jonathan Spencer, Bekah Sunvold, and Skyelur Weber also did very well.

Lynnlee Voge placed first in the district individually out of over 80 individuals.
