Preble County Sheriff’s officials assisted in the search for a Warren County murder victim’s body last week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a Wayne Township residence to a reported burglary. During the investigation, WCSO deputies learned an 18-year-old resident had disappeared from the home. During a search of the residence, it became clear that a crime of violence had taken place at the residence, WCSO officials reported.

Warren County investigators were able to determine that the 18-year-old had become the victim of a homicide.

“Our role was fairly simple,” Preble County Sheriff Mike Simpson said last week. “We were requested by Warren County SO to assist in locating the victim’s body. We checked an area provided to us by WCSO, which was Fudge Road, near the bridge just north of Enterprise Road. Deputies and a detective responded to the area and located the victim. The scene was secured and WCSO responded with a crime scene unit. PCSO assisted WCSO, along with the Preble County Coroner’s Office, in processing the scene after we obtained a search warrant for the property.”

Two 19-year-old men, Timothy Mosley, 19, of Dayton, and Austin Myers, 19, identified as “homeless” were arrested on one count of Aggravated Murder each in the case. Both subjects are incarcerated in the Warren County Jail awaiting arraignment.
