Like many citizens of Preble County, I have long supported John Boehner. Since the 90s, I have voted for him every time his name was on the ballot, walked in parades, carried signs, gone door-to-door, made phone calls, and talked with friends in support of him, believing that he was a true conservative voice, who would well represent me in Congress, as well as follow the Republican platform, of which I am in full agreement. For a time, that was true; but I am sorry to say that it is no longer.
While Boehner has been Speaker of the house, it has become apparent that he is no longer a true conservative. This is not a personal attack. I am sure that John was a hard-working person in his youth. I know that he still lives in West Chester, as he has for many years. I also believe that he agrees with most Americans that we need more jobs and fixes to our educational system. It is his solutions to these difficulties with which I have a problem. I don’t care right now about his past. I am concerned about the present and the future. Speaker Boehner has not demonstrated true courage and has not stood up to the Democrats, which are becoming increasingly corrupt and anti-Constitutional, to make a way for conservative values and solutions to solve these many issues we are facing today.
That is why I am supporting JD Winteregg for Congress in the eighth district. I met JD about a year ago and I have questioned, prodded and harassed him, to see what he really believes and to try him. He has stood up to my inquiries and has shown himself to be fully committed to conservative values and constitutional principles, such as limiting government, not growing it, and fiscal responsibility. He is also a Christian who relies on God for his strength. JD has not said these things to impress me or other voters, it is who and what he is. There is no doubt in my mind that JD will be able to stand firm in Washington and will be a true representative of all conservatives in Preble County. I hope you will take the time to research this man and will vote for him in the Republican primary on May 6.
