The Preble Soil & Water Conservation District and the Preble County Solid Waste Management District will co-host the 16th Annual Earth Day Event on Thursday, May 8.
Since its beginnings, this event has been very well received by the local schools and communities. This year, over 300 students will attend from the 13 sixth grade classes at Eaton, Twin Valley South, and National Trail.
Pleasant Vineyard Ministries, located in Camden, will once again be the host for this event. It is family owned and operated, with Dave Maynard serving as the director. All of the presenters who participate in this event volunteer their time and talents to educate students on various conservation related subjects.
Topics this year range from Woodland Band, Recycling for Paper Needs, to Honeybees.
This event is also made possible thanks to the hard work and support of local FFA students, community volunteers, Quaker Trace Tractor & Kawasaki, Quality Tile and Drainage Systems, Jubilee, Pratt Industries and the staffs of the Preble Soil & Water Conservation District and the Preble County Solid Waste Management District. To participate in this event in the future, contact one of these offices.
