The Blue Star Mothers of America, Preble County Chapter OH11, will be having a Veterans Appreciation and Pinning Ceremony, on Saturday, June 14, at the Preble County Fairgrounds, Bruner Building, from noon to 4 p.m. Pinning will be at 1:30 p.m.

“Pinning” is where the group presents a veteran with an American flag pin and thank him or her for all they have done for the country.

“It is a way we as Blue Star Mothers show our appreciation. We are wanting as many veterans from Preble County and surrounding counties to come,” Linda Samuels, Preble Blue Star Mothers President said.

The event is free to all veterans and their families, or anyone who just wants to attend and say thanks to a veteran, according to Samuels.

“We are having refreshments afterwards, entertainment, and Connie & Friends and their award winning dogs,” Samuels said.
