BWF brightens weekend

CAMDEN —The Black Walnut Festival in Camden wrapped up fall festival season on Sunday, Oct. 19, closing the 27th annual event on a sunny day that brought out many craft shoppers to roam the festival’s booths.As always, the Black Walnut Festival included activities for young and old alike, including the traditional parade, musical entertainment, a petting zoo provided by Valley Exotics, and more.Donations made by the Black Walnut Festival Committee support the Camden Police Department, Camden Fire & Rescue Squad, Camden parks, Camden Beautification Committee, scholarships for Preble Shawnee High School, planters and flowers in town, Christmas decorations and lights in town, town signs, and street flags, according to committee chair Andrew Groh.
