EATON — Safari Junction is celebrating its second successful season of being open to the public with a special Business After Hours event in conjunction with the Preble County Chamber of Commerce.

Scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 28, the event will run from 5-7 p.m., at the facility located at 2961 U.S. 127 S., Eaton.

Safari Junction offers hands-on interactive and educational animal encounters, and is family-owned and operated by Jamie and Dianna Beneke, lifetime residents of Preble County.

Jamie and Dianna, along with their three children, Jake, Wyatt and Zoey, pride themselves in providing an up-close and personal experience with their animal ambassadors from all around the world.

With kangaroos, camels, capybaras, lemurs and much more, Safari Junction strives to provide the best educational opportunity to the public about animals, their habitats, their behaviors and their daily adventures.

After operating mobile animal displays for several years, Dianna encouraged Jamie to bring the same experience to a permanent location at their family home in Preble County. In the fall of 2015 the Benekes took their vision before the county zoning board and gained unanimous approval to open Safari Junction to the public.

With the help of family and close friends, along with community support, Jamie and Dianna have created a one-of-a-kind experience they want to share with the public.

This special Business After Hours event will include refreshments and a family-friendly outing to celebrate this Preble County Chamber member’s success. Attendees are reminded, parking at Safari Junction is limited.
