Sophomore pitcher Elizabeth Glander kept the Indians in check most of the night, striking out 11 and allowing just five hits.

Trail got on the scoreboard first in the third inning, on base hit by Gracie Jones.

Newton tied in the fourth and took the lead in the fifth on a three-run home run.

In the bottom of the sixth, Jones and Davlyn Werner reached base and Savanna Abner hit a double to drive in a run to make it 4-2.

Payten Laird then tripled to right centerfield, scoring two runs and tie the game a 4-4. Bobbi Jean Grimes then drove in Laird for the eventual game-winning run.

On Tuesday, Trail fell behind early at Madison, en route to a 6-3 setback.

The Mohawks led 4-0 after two innings and extended the lead to 6-0 after five.
