Green, Moore lead Arrows to win over Milton-Union

WEST MILTON — A week after suffering its first loss of the season, Preble Shawnee’s football team bounced back with 29-6 win over Milton-Union on Friday, Sept. 22.

The Arrows, now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division, racked up almost 400 yards of offense.

Shawnee scored three times on the Jake Green to Austin Moore combination.

Leading 2-0, Green and Moore hooked up for a 12-yard TD pass in the first quarter to take a 9-0 lead after the successful point after.

The duo struck again in the second quarter for a 69-yard TD to give the Arrows a 16-0 lead.

Milton-Union made it 16-6 on a 3-yard TD run by Zac Shields before halftime.

Green and Moore completed the trifecta with a 20-yard TD pass in the third quarter for a 22-6 lead.

Luke Lovely closed out the scored for the Arrows with a 5-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.

Green finished the night completing 14-of-21 passes for 237 yards. Moore had eight catches for 177 yards. Austin Tutt caught five passes for 57 yards.

Eli Gibson led the rushing attack with 108 yards on 26 carries.

Shawnee, which has played its last three games on the road, return home Friday, Sept. 22, to host Carlisle for its homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
